San Antonio & Colchagua Valleys Experience 

Travel from Santiago, visiting beautiful wineries and tasting the most delicious wines in each of the wine valleys along the route. You will also enjoy great views of the Andes, beautiful scenery, and regional cuisine, while visiting local villages close to Santiago.

Day 1: Santiago – San Antonio Valley – Santa Cruz

The San Antonio Valley is famous for its premium white wines and cool climate reds including Pinot Noir and Syrah.

Meet your guide and drive 2 hours passing Curacaví and Casablanca Valleys – Your first stop will be Matetic Winery, an exclusive winery that makes fine wines from 100% organic grapes. During the visit you will see a Chilean hacienda and a modern wine cellar inserted in the natural surroundings with spectacular views of the vineyards, follow by a premium wine tasting – Gourmet menu lunch at Matetic restaurant – Continue to Casa Marin Winery where your will enjoy a premium wine tasting, this is a beautiful and small family winery – After that visit we are going to drive 3 hours to Colchagua Valley – 7:00 pm Arrival and check in at Noi Blend Hotel (B, L)

Day 2: Colchagua Valley

10:00 am Depart from your Hotel and drive about 30 minutes to Montes Winery, where you will enjoy a unique scenic wine tour experience, follow by a wine cellar visit and Montes fine wine tasting – Continue to Clos Apalta winery, Wine Spectator magazine as wine of the Year and “Top 100” Clos Apalta 2005, after the spectacular cellar visit you will have a premium wine tasting – Time for lunch on your own at Viu Manent or local restaurant – Then it’s on to your final destination, Mont Gras Winery, where you will enjoy a paring premium wine tasting – 6:00 pm Return to the Hotel or explore the artisan shops – maybe you will want to buy an authentic chupalla, Chilean cowboy hat! – and taste a delicious local pastry made with caramel and meringue – Overnight at Noi Blend Hotel (B) 

Day 3: Colchagua Valley – Santiago

10:00 am Check out from Noi Blend Hotel and depart for visiting the Colchagua Museum, the largest and most comprehensive museum of Chilean history with a collection of Latin America colonial art – Lunch at your own at Casa Silva restaurant, follow by a tour and wine tasting at Casa Silva Winery, this is one of the oldest wine cellar in the Colchagua Valley – 7:00 pm Arrival to the Santiago Hotel or the Santiago airport – End of the Tour (B)

WINE EXPERT GUIDE AND TRIP PLANNER

Karen Gilchrist is a graduate of the School of Advanced Studies in Social Sciences of the Sorbonne University in Paris and the holder of diplomas in wine tasting, tourism and marketing from the London Chamber of Commerce and the British Industry Examinations Board, accomplishments during her eight years of residence in Europe. Her experience in connection with wine routes include in USA (California, Oregon, Long Island), France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Australia, South Africa, Canada, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Bolivia and Chile.

Karen organized Chile’s first ever Carmenere event, which was attended by the national and international press. In addition to guiding she is also a wine tourism consultant in Chile and abroad.

BEFORE YOU LEAVE YOUR COUNTRY

Visas

If you are a US or European citizen, a visa is not required to enter Chile. Please remember to keep the tourist card that will be given to you at immigration upon arrival, you will need it to leave the country. Citizens of other countries, check with your Embassy or Consular office for further information.
