Women’s Walking, Wine & Food Experience
Travel from Santiago, visiting beautiful wineries and tasting the most delicious wines in each of the wine valleys along the route. You will also enjoy great views of the Andes Mountains, beautiful scenery, and regional cuisine, while visiting local villages and lodging in small and luxury hotels.
Day 1: Santiago
Meet and great your bi-lingual guide at the Santiago airport and private group transfer to the Singular Hotel. Afternoon at leisure to enjoy the charming boutiques and restaurants near to the hotel or time to relax at the hotel.

Day 2: Aconcagua Valley
Breakfast – Depart for Aconcagua Valley, about 1,5 hour drive from Santiago – Walk around the Von Siebenthal and Errazuriz vineyards; this is a fun and easy trails on small paths through vineyards. After walking, we enjoy an interesting tour of the cellar facilities; follow by a gourmet lunch at Errázuriz winery – Arrival in Santiago and overnight at the Singular Hotel Santiago (B, L)
Day 3: Casablanca Valley and Valparaiso Port
Breakfast and check out – Depart from Cumbres Lastarria hotel to Casablanca Valley, about 1,5 hour drive from Santiago – Walking visit and premium wine tasting at Emiliana winery. This vineyard has developed organic and biodynamic agriculture in all of its grapevines. It is enclosed in a small valley, co-inhabiting with wild animals and birds – Gourmet lunch and continue to Viña del Mar, a coastal resort town near Valparaíso – City tour & walk around Valparaíso, discovering its historic sites and charming hillside “elevators” – Check in and overnight at Fauna Boutique Hotel (B, L)
Day 4: Valparaíso – San Antonio Valley – Santa Cruz
Breakfast and check out – Depart from Fauna Hotel in Valparaiso – Today we will hike the fun trails of the Rosario Valley, about 1 hour drive from Valparaiso, close to the Port of San Antonio. We will also enjoy a tour and taste the excellent quality of the wines produced by Matetic vineyards, made from 100% organically-grown grapes – Gourmet lunch at Matetic winery restaurant – We head next for for Colchagua Valley, about 3 hours by van – Dinner at the hotel restaurant and overrnight at Noi Blend Boutique Hotel Santa Cruz (B, L, D)
Day 5: Colchagua Valley
Breakfast and check out – Depart for a trekking to Apalta Valley, where you will enjoy a panoramic view of the Valley, follow by a tour and wine tasting at Montes winery – Gourmet local restaurant – Visit Santa Cruz village and Colchagua Museum. The largest and most comprehensive museum of Chilean history, with a large collection of Latin American colonial Art – Continue to Santiago, about 2,5 hour drive north – Check in and overnight at the Singular Hotel Santiago (B, L)
Day 6: Maipo Valley
Breakfast – Depart to Cascada de las animas Ecological Park for a moderate 1 hour and half Hiking excursion in Cajon del Maipo where you will enjoy the beautiful views of the Andes, stop in San José village for a local pastry or handcraft market – Gourmet lunch at Ecological School in Pirque Village – Private visit and premium wine tasting at Aquitania winery, this small winery produces red wines from Maipo Valley and Chardonnay & Pinot Noir from Malleco Valley in the South of Chile – Overnight at the Singular Hotel Santiago (B, L)
Day 7: Santiago
Breakfast – Depart for a City tour through Santiago’s historic downtown and surrounding areas – Lunch at historic local restaurant – Afternoon at leisure to explore Santiago on your own or personal activities – Overnight at Cumbres Lastarria Hotel Santiago (B, L)

WINE EXPERT GUIDE & TRIP PLANNER
Karen Gilchrist is a graduate of the School of Advanced Studies in Social Sciences of the Sorbonne University in Paris and the holder of diplomas in wine tasting, tourism and marketing from the London Chamber of Commerce and the British Industry Examinations Board, accomplishments during her eight years of residence in Europe. Her experience in connection with wine routes include in USA (California, Oregon, Long Island), France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Australia, South Africa, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Bolivia and Chile.
Karen organized Chile’s first ever Carmenere event, which was attended by the national and international press. In addition to guiding she is also a consultant in wine tourism and abroad.

Visas
If you are a US or European citizen, a visa is not required to enter Chile. Please remember to keep the tourist card that will be given to you at immigration upon arrival, you will need it to leave the country. Citizens of other countries, check with your Embassy or Consular office for further information.
