Day 1: Paris / Welcome

Meet and greet your guide at the Charles de Gaulle airport and private group transfer to the Hotel in Paris, which is located in a charming neighbourhood in the heart of the 6th arrondissement, Rive Gauche – In the evening, before our welcome dinner at traditional gourmet restaurant, we will go over the trip itinerary – Overnight at Louison Boutique Hotel (B, D) 

Hotel: The Hôtel Louison invites you to enter into the History of France. In a royal family residence, which housed the illegitimate children of Louis XIV, the Hôtel Louison invites you to discover a tasteful, stylish and elegant “French-style” universe. Here, tradition meets modernity, a recipe which brings together sculpted busts, period mouldings, design furniture and graphic fabrics.

Day 2: Paris / Cultural & Gourmet Experience

After breakfast, we will visit Paris by walk with our local guide. Enjoy the most representative places nearby; the Luxembourg Garden, Saint-Germain-des-Prés and Montparnasse neighbourhoods, stop for a Macaron at the Pierre Hermé boutique or a chocolate at the Deux Magots legendary café – Menu lunch at the oldest restaurant in Paris – After lunch, at leisure for personal activities – In the afternoon, about 6:00 pm, we will depart from the Hotel to enjoy a Bateaux Mouches sunset experience with spectacular views of Paris – Dinner on your own – Overnight at Louison Boutique Hotel (B, L)

Day 3: Paris

After breakfast, day at leisure for visiting a local fruit & vegetable market, a Paris Museum, a relaxing walk by the Seine River or shopping in the neighbourhood near to the Hotel – In the afternoon, about 7:00 pm, we will enjoy a fabulous menu dinner at Spring restaurant near to the Louvre. At Spring restaurant, the menu changes monthly and the dishes are inspired by the market and the French tradition. The Chef, Gilles Chesneau, is very attached to the spirit of the terroir, he cooks with the highest respect for the product, carefully considering each transformation with in mind to not only preserve, but to exhale its qualities – Overnight at Louison Boutique Hotel (B, D)

Day 4: Paris-Dijon

After breakfast and check out, transfer to the train station for taking our direct train to Dijon. This travel will be takes about 2 hours – Arrive to Dijon and transfer to the Hotel, located in a charming old town. Dijon, the capital of Burgundy, its medieval heritage with the Dukes of Burgundy and the fine wine route, give this Burgundian city a feel that is both grandiose and provincial – In the afternoon, we are going to visit by walk the historic down town of Dijon – Dinner at Wiliam Frachot restaurant, 2 stars Michelin. The Chef, William Frachot, defines his cuisine as contemporary cuisine without borders and creative, emphasizing both the French countryside as his travels – Overnight at Grand Hotel La Cloche (B, D)

Hotel: This Hausmann-style building, dating 1884, is part of the city’s cultural patrimony. Today a registered heritage site and architectural treasure, the Grand Hôtel La Cloche remains true to that tradition by offering the utmost in comfort and typical Dijon refinement.

Day 5: Dijon – Beaune /The Grands Crus Route

In the Burgundy winegrowing region you will find France’s finest and elegant Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs. Also you will enjoy the beautiful vineyards scenery and amazing reginal cuisine.

After breakfast, depart for a private tour follow the Grands Crus Route, tasting the fantastic Burgundy wines along the route of Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune

First, we will explore renowned villages like Vosne-Romanée or Nuits-Saint-Georges and a premium wine tasting – Tour to the wonderful Chateau Clos de Vougeot, founded around 1100 by the Abbey of Cîteaux. The Clos de Vougeot symbolizes the entire history of Bourgogne wine production through the work of the winemaker monks. Here you can visit one of the oldest cellars in France. This outstanding historical monument is today the home of the Brotherhood of the Knights of Tastevin – Continuation of the tour through the Route des Grands Crus to Gevrey-Chambertin for a delicious gourmet lunch – Visit to a cheese factory (the best of the region, by the way), tasting some typical varieties of the region – from the most «fresh» to the very fresh ones! – Arrival to Beaune for a special wine tasting of Côte de Beaune wines and check in and overnight at L’ Hotel de Beaune – Evening at leisure (B, L)

Day 6: Beaune / Cooking Class

Today we are going to explore the delightful gastronomic culture of the region. The program includes a market tour in the heart of Beaune, a hands-on cooking class in local atelier, teaching the classics of Burgundian cuisine, and a seven – course lunch, including a cheese tasting of local fromages, and a wine tasting paired with the menu – Continue for visiting La Moutarderie Fallot to discover the Burgundy mustard through its 3 dedicated spaces: a Museum tour which will reveal all the secrets of the Brassica seed and its history, and a sensational experience for approaching of the Fallot gourmet products – Overnight at L’ Hotel de Beaune (B, L)

Day 7: Beaune / Walking and Cultural Experience

Today we will walk through some of Beaune’s Premiers Crus and visit the most important historic site in town.

After breakfast, depart for an easy trail for walking among Beaune’s vineyards to the south of the town with views over Beaune and the Côte de Beaune.

Burgundy’s vineyard “climats” are a unique site in the world and form an exceptional legacy of expertise and tradition, which is why they have been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site – Lunch at local restaurant – Visit the Hospices de Beaune, a hospital foundation from the 15th century. Its glazed tile roofs of sparkling colours are the symbol of Burgundy and its Gothic architecture, an amazing throwback to the golden age of the Dukes. The Hospices, a hospital created in for the poor, is also the owner of a prestigious wine estate whose wines are sold at a major auction in November – Evening at leisure – Overnight at L’ Hotel de Beaune (B, L)

Day 8: Beaune – Paris / End of the Tour

After breakfast and check out, transfer to the train station for taking our direct train to Paris.

Karen Gilchrist is a graduate of the School of Advanced Studies in Social Sciences of the Sorbonne University in Paris and the holder of diplomas in wine tasting, tourism and marketing from the London Chamber of Commerce and the British Industry Examinations Board, accomplishments during her eight years of residence in Europe. Her experience in connection with wine routes include in USA (California, Oregon, Long Island), France (Burgundy, Champagne, Bordeaux and Loire), Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Croatia, Australia, South Africa, Canada, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Bolivia and Chile.

In addition to guiding she is also a wine tourism consultant in Chile and abroad.
